I guess it felt that way at the time. (I&#8217;ll avoid turning this into an anti-boomer rant.)<\/p>\n<p>2001, was different, of course. I admire the sense of wonder he brought to the movie,. Yet I am also a little annoyed by the sense he made a movie nobody was supposed to &#8220;get&#8221; &#8212; there is an answer to the mystery, but you can&#8217;t figure it out from the available clues. You shouldn&#8217;t play with the audience that way, especially after giving them an sucking them in for about 15 hours of bopping through the solar system and homicidal computers.<\/p>\n<p>I caught the last half hour of 2010 this morning while on the elliptical machine. I still like it.
