\nIf we’re to believe we’ve a Father in heaven,
\nthen why not<\/span> fairies in the garden?
\nShakespeare shows us how they are
\nthe masks of our better selves, bodies
\nunbothered by souls. Surely
\nif we’re to be silly enough to believe in
\nanything, fairies are the place
\nto start. Not believe in fairies? as well
\nrefuse belief to butterflies and mice.
\nIt’s not as though they ask that much
\nof their believers–a holiday or two,
\nsome songs and dances, the sentiments
\non valentine hearts. Why must old Skyfather
\nbegrudge our fairies that? Doesn’t the All-Knowing
\nknow that without them, his thunders
\ncome across as ill-intending bluster?
\nEncourage Tinkerbell to hold on tight,
