Edward Lear suffered from asthma, bronchitis and the occasional <em>grand mal<\/em> seizure all his life.<\/p>\n<p>from <strong>The Jumblies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They went to sea in a sieve, they did;<br \/>\n     In a sieve they went to sea:<br \/>\nIn spite of all their friends could say,<br \/>\nOn a winter&#8217;s morn, on a stormy day,<br \/>\n     In a sieve they went to sea.<br \/>\nAnd when the sieve turned round and round,<br \/>\nAnd every one cried, &#8220;You&#8217;ll all be drowned!&#8221;<br \/>\nThey called aloud, &#8220;Our sieve ain&#8217;t big;<br \/>\nBut we don&#8217;t care a button, we don&#8217;t care a fig:<br \/>\n     In a sieve we&#8217;ll go to sea!&#8221;<br \/>\n          Far and few, far and few,<br \/>\n                Are the lands where the Jumblies live:<br \/>\n          Their heads are green, and their hands are blue<br \/>\n                And they went to sea in a sieve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Celebrating a week back from Boston and the end of bronchitis.
